CUMARU
The floor we installed and finished in this photo is called Cumaru,also know as Brazilian Teak. It is one of the hardest wood species used for flooring. It is similar to Brazialian Cherry but with a less red tone. The finish used here was Bona Kemi Satin Matte.
MOCHA
By carelully blending stains and manipulating the wood grain,we were able to create a rich,deep appearance on this hardwood floor. The customer wanted a rustic,satin-matte profile as well, so we raised the grains and used Bona Kemi Satin finish.
WALNUT
Awesome Owens Engineered Unfinished Walnut, sanded and refinished natural with Oil Base Semi Gloss. These wide plank floors are the most stable in the industry,due to the subfloor being pre-attached to a thick wear layer of Walnut or whatever floor you choose. These floors resist cupping like no other
MAPLE
Somerset Wide Plank Maple, provided and installed at a 45 degree angle for a different look, then sanded and finished clear with Bona Kemi Traffic Satin. Notice how bright the color of the maple is compared to traditional oil base finishes seen on sports floors.
BAMBOO
This is natural Vertical Grain Bamboo flooring Classic Hardwood Floors provided and installed. We then proceeded to sand the flooring to a very fine grit, and finished out with Bona Kemi Traffic Satin.
CASTAWAY HOUSE
Here we are restoring the wood floor at the house cast in the Dreamworks picture “Castaway” which featured Tom Hanks. Hanks is seen walking up this driveway at an emotional ending.
REFINISHING Before & After
This is a great example of how even some of the most damaged wood existing in Mid-South homes can be transformed by proper sanding and refinishing. The finish used on this floor is oil based polyurethane.
COLOR RESTORATION Before & After
In this midtown home we were able to dramatically reduce the appearance of deep stains in the wood by treating the wood grain after sanding the floor. Then we carefully mixed stain colors and applied them with Bona Kemi Satin Finish. Our results have seen a drastic improvement in many mid-south properties with pet/water stains.
WATERBASE FINISH Before & After
Here is a before and after shot of refinishing a white oak hardwood floor using Bona Kemi Traffic water based polyurethane. These finishes do not yellow over time like oil finishes and have a considerably longer lifetime when it comes to wear/traffic.
